Tender Description
In 2024, the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC)) received funding from the Department of Home Affairs for a project to support Australian Communities experiencing increased racism and discrimination as a result of the most recent conflict in the Middle East, with reports of antisemitism, islamophobia and other types of hate-driven behaviours across Australian communities since October 2023.
The Project entitled Seen and Heard (S&H), comprises an engagement focus, effected through consultations (phase 1), coupled with a campaign targeted towards affected communities as well as members of the broader community (Phase 2, the subject of this ATM). Developing a campaign that aims to raise awareness, educate Australians on the impacts of racism and how to be ant-racist, and provide support to those affected by the impacts of racism, have been identified as key components of this project.
