Powerhouse is seeking to establish a panel of suitably qualified suppliers to provide exhibition set design and construction services.
Project goals
Powerhouse is seeking to establish a panel of suitably qualified construction service providers/suppliers to provide exhibition set design and construction services and to collaborate with Powerhouse to develop and deliver the production of new exhibitions and installations for Powerhouse Parramatta, Powerhouse Ultimo, Powerhouse Castle Hill and Sydney Observatory. The successful supplier will be appointed to a panel for a two-year term with annual reviews and may be invited to submit responses for formal selective tenders. Following the formal selective tenders, the successful supplier will be responsible for project management, detailed plans, build/fabrication, technical specifications, installation and dismantling of the exhibitions and installations.
Scope
To ensure efficient and competitive delivery of forthcoming exhibitions and programs, Powerhouse is establishing a panel for the professional services of exhibition set design and construction service providers/suppliers who can collaborate with the exhibition teams to produce dynamic, innovative and creative outcomes with a range of build methodologies. Powerhouse is looking for contactors with expertise in project management, exhibition design, technical design and certification experience to build/fabricate large scale exhibitions and installations to international standards of design and quality. The panel may include the following skills: set design and construction, carpentry and joinery, automation and mechanics, props, model making and staging.
