Tender Description
In general, the project is to undertake Vertical Transport upgrade for two (02) escalators & Six (06) lifts including associated building works at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
Escalators 01 and 02, and Lifts 1-6 are at end-of-life and no longer fit for purpose. Due to site constraints, the escalators are to be replaced via in-truss modernisation. For Lifts 1-3, new machine-room-less lifts are proposed to be installed to provide greater reliability and speed. This will allow repurposing of the basement Lift Motor Room to a habitable room for future use. As part of entrance upgrades to the Lift Motor Room, additional cupboards and lobby for Lift 4 are proposed. For Lifts 4-6, hydraulic system upgrades are proposed. Additional Lift 6 façade and finishes upgrades are proposed for better cohesion with restaurant tenants. Level 01 (Ground Floor) cupboards are proposed for additional Port Authority storage space.
Port Authority is seeking to engage a qualified head contractor to undertake these works under a Design & Construct (D & C) contract. Port Authority will provide a tender package containing documentation to serve as a basis for the design.
To obtain the full Request for Tender (RFT) document interested parties are required to sign and return a Confidentiality Deed Poll.
The Confidentiality Deed Poll is required because the full RFT document includes reports prepared by third parties. On return of the signed Confidentiality Deed Poll and acceptance by Port Authority, the interested party will be invited to the Private Tender and be able to access the full RFT document.
