Project goals

The Legacy Mines Program (LMP) within the NSW Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development (DPIRD) has engaged the Soil Conservation Service (SCS) as the principal contractor to undertake contaminated land remediation works under the Legacy Mines Program of Works for the Lake George Mine within the township of Captains Flat.      The proposed remediation works are required to prevent serious environmental and human health risks to people accessing the site, to residents on-site and in the town of Captains Flat. All works will be conducted in accordance with a suite of Management Plans, environmental controls and strict occupational hygiene and workplace health and safety controls. Various surveying works will be required on an as need's basis for the duration of the project. The project is expected to take approx. 2 years, commencing from April 2025 until April 2027 with an optional extension of 12 months and a further 6 months.

Scope

The Soil Conservation Service is seeking responses from qualified suppliers with demonstrated expertise in surveying, reliability, and a proven track record in providing surveying services associated with civil bulk earthmoving. The required services include, but are not limited to: Boundary marking: Accurate marking of property and project boundaries. Feature marking: Identification and marking of significant site features. Drone surveying: Capturing aerial footage of the site to document features and conditions. Infrastructure & service location: Mapping the locations of existing infrastructure and services. Work as executed drawings: Preparing detailed drawings reflecting the completed work. Trimble Rover assistance: Providing support in the operation of a Trimble Rover for precise surveying tasks. GPS 3D modelling design: Developing 3D models based on GPS data, including quantity analyses and data processing of supplier Lidar/UAV survey data.
