Tender Description
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is intending to release a Request for Tender (RFT) in April 2025 and is seeking Expressions of Interest for the Supply on Hire of Ground Protection for future Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix events (Event), to be held at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit (Site) in 2025 and 2026.
The following document provides additional information regarding the contract requirements.
EVENT
The 2025 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix will be held at Phillip Island within the month of October 2025. The Event will be held over three days (Friday to Sunday inclusive) with motor racing events beginning at approximately 8.00am and concluding at approximately 5.30pm each day. The Event comprises separate Grand Prix for MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ motorcycle classes, along with other support races.
The Event is typically held in October of each year. For the avoidance of doubt the actual dates for the 2026 Event shall be confirmed by the FIM in approximately November of the preceding year.
Note: High speed track activity will occur on the Thursday, however public will not be allowed admission to Site.
Construction of infrastructure to facilitate the Event is carried out over a 6 week build period in accordance with a strict Construction Programme, with dismantle beginning immediately following the Event. Full dismantle is required within two and a half weeks of the Event.
SCOPE OF WORKS
The Scope of Works shall include all labour, materials, plant and equipment necessary to perform the following activities:
- Supply on hire, delivery to Site, installation, maintenance and subsequent removal of ground protection.
- Have available contingency stock and standby labour on hand to support any additional requests which may occur from last minute change or weather impacting conditions.
- Provide a variety of ground protection products suitable for varying applications.
- The supply of plant and equipment necessary to carry out the Scope of Works.
