Tender Description

Project goals

The M5 Westbound Traffic Upgrade (M5WBTU) Project will result in road and traffic upgrades on the M5 Motorway between Heathcote Road and Hume Highway. Once completed, the M5WBTU will improve safety, traffic congestion and support the growth in the area at Moorebank Intermodal and Liverpool.

Scope

M5WBTU

The M5WBTU Project requires the services of an Independent Certifier to support the delivery of the main works contract. The Independent Certifier will be responsible for independently certifying that the works comply with the requirements of the D&C Deed and provides design and construction certification for the key stakeholders of the Project.

TfNSW Options

It is anticipated that the RFT will include TfNSW Options for the Independent Certifier to provide Independent Certifier Services on the following projects:

  • Richmond Road Upgrade (M7 to Townson Road) (RRM7)

The RRM7 Project involves widening the road within the Richmond Road corridor between M7 Motorway and Townson Road and the construction of a new flyover bridge near M7 Motorway in Marsden Park.

  • New Richmond Bridge Stage 2 (NRBS2)

The NRBS2 Project involves construction of a bypass of Richmond and North Richmond town centres between Londonderry Road and Bells Line of Road including a new bridge over the Hawkesbury River and an active transport connection between Richmond and North Richmond.

Additional details/instructions

This is an Early Notice only. The anticipated release date of the RFT is late March to early April 2025. Formal notification will occur when the RFT Notice is published on the buy NSW Tenders Module.
