Tender Details
Tender Description
WorkSafe employees have been provided with Occupational Health Services since 2019, which includes the management of health testing and monitoring for WorkSafe employees to ensure regulatory compliance, quality of service and cost-effectiveness. Health testing is pivotal as a preventive measure, ensuring the early detection of potential health issues stemming from occupational exposure. This proactive approach is essential for:
- Maintaining Employee Health and Safety: Regular health testing detects conditions early, preventing worsening health and chronic illnesses.
- Fulfilling Legal and Ethical Obligations: Compliance with health testing protocols meets legal requirements and upholds WorkSafe's commitment to employee well-being.
- Enhancing Workplace Productivity: By preserving employee health, health testing contributes to sustained workplace productivity and efficiency.
Currently, there are approximately 320 field operations staff which may require audiometry / hearing tests on a bi-annual basis (approx.160 per year), and approximately 40% may require spirometry/lung function tests or other type of diagnostic testing bi-annually (approx. 60 per year). Vaccination (i.e. Q-Fever) is typically administered to at-risk, new employees (approx.10 per year). Other vaccinations, such as BoostRix make up a small percentage of the vaccinations administered.
