Tender Description
Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA) which is part of the Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) requires a process to standardise and improve drill core images.
GSSA is seeking provider to process approximately 30,000 core images to produce a consistent visual representation of the core imagery including:
- Processing of the imagery to produce consistent rotation and cropping of excess background.
- Attribution of imagery with appropriate metadata, including start and end depths of every tray, tray numbers, drillhole identifiers.
- Depth register each image.
- Ability to extract each length of core within a tray as a depth rectified single image.
- Imagery and metadata returned to GSSA in an accessible digital format.
- Ability for GSSA to process further imagery on an ongoing basis and at an agreed cost.
DEM anticipates this Core Photography Digital project will be completed within 6 months of contract commencement.
