Ipswich City Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to carry out the construction of the Queens Park Ceremonial, Healing and Remembrance Place to create a space to acknowledge the history and cultural significance of this area for Indigenous people and provide a dedicated space for reflection, education and healing for the whole community. The project aligns with the Ipswich City Council Indigenous Accord 2020–2025

The area nominated is located within the Heritage listed Queens Park, Ipswich.

It is Council’s objective that the successful contractor has the capacity and ability to carry out these works with a required completion date prior to Friday 26th September 2025.

The successful contractor will be required to provide Council with a proposed methodology and schedule of works outlining how the works will be completed within the required timeframe whilst minimising the impact to the local community. Timing and methodology provided will be utilised to allow an acceptable notification period to be provided to the local community and other relevant stakeholders.
