Tender Description
LUMP SUM CONTRACT
Strathbogie Shire Council is seeking suitable experienced suppliers to fulfil Contract 25-26-07 - Fire Prevention Roadside Spraying.
The residual risk of a major/regional bushfire within the Strathbogie Shire Council has been assessed as being HIGH in the Strathbogie Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP).
In recognition of this risk, approx. 900km of Council managed roads have been identified for fuel reduction through a roadside spraying program. The spraying program is targeted at vegetation growth between the trafficked area and the table drain invert.
The reduced fuel loads on the identified roads contributes to the protection of local townships and make the roads safer for emergency vehicle access in the event of a bushfire or grass fire in the Strathbogie Shire landscape.
In addition, the contract works include the spraying of identified intersections and Council owned land including waste transfer stations.
Contract Term is 3 years with another possible 2 x 1 year extension at discretion of the Strathbogie Shire Council. (1+1)
Tenders can be only lodged on line through the Tendersearch portal. Please note Strathbogie Shire Council no longer accepts hardcopy tenders and will not accept tenders by fax or email.
It is Strathbogie Shire Council's policy not to accept Tenders received after the specified closing time.
