Council seeks to procure a contractor engagement to undertake pathway replacement works in Lawson Park, Mudgee. These works are to replace the current bitumen sealed pathways with a 2.5m width for a length of approximately 180m and include the replacement of a small portion of concrete and bitumen seal at the main entrance near the corner of Church St & Short St, Mudgee (approx. 20m²). Council requires these works to be completed by Friday, 13 June 2025.

• Removal of existing bitumen seal pathway and replacement with 2.5m width concrete path, minimum 25MPa at 125mm depth, reinforced with minimum F82 mesh.
• Pathway crossfall no greater than 2.5% slope and concrete finish level to be 50mm above existing ground levels
• Ensure well-compacted subgrade, and include sand blinding if necessary to achieve appropriate levels
• Dowel into any existing concrete junctions & install abelflex, pre-moulded or bituminous expansion joints every 10m & dummy joints/saw cut every 2.5m.
• 24-hour notice for reinforcement and formwork inspection should be provided, and concrete should not be delivered until Project Manager approval is obtained
• Costs must include all construction works, including excavation, removal and disposal of the existing pathway. Bitumen surface removed can be deposited at Council stockpile site within 4km of worksite.
• Backfill material to be clean topsoil with an 80/20 sand/soil composition. As this is a premier park, a sample of the topsoil is to be provided for approval prior to backfilling.
• It is the responsibility of the contractor to locate utilities using Dial Before You Dig.
• Pedestrian hazards must be fenced off appropriately
