Council requires proposals by suitably capable and experienced consultants to complete a revision of the Local Housing Strategy (LHS). The LHS Revision must address structural inconsistencies, policy misalignments, and gaps in implementation frameworks. The key focus will be on ensuring clear policy positions on housing outcomes for towns and villages within the Murray River Council (MRC) local government area.
The final strategy will incorporate updated demographic data, infrastructure planning, housing diversity recommendations, clear growth staging plans, and natural hazard mitigation, align with state and regional planning frameworks and must be suitable for adoption by both the Council and relevant government agencies.
