Tender Description
The Alpine Shire Council is inviting quotations for the hire of a street sweeper to assist with leaf collection during the Autumn season commencing in April 2025. The hire period will extend for 10 weeks. Suppliers are requested to provide quotes for both of the following options:
1. Wet Hire – Supply of a street sweeper along with an operator.
2. Dry Hire – Supply of a street sweeper only (Council to provide the operator).
Requirements
• Hire Duration: 10 weeks commencing in April 2025.
• Service Area: Council roads, pathways, and public spaces within the Alpine Shire boundaries.
Inclusions:
For Wet Hire:
• Fully operational street sweeper with an experienced operator.
• All operational costs, including fuel, maintenance, and insurances related to the equipment and operator.
• Compliance with all local government and safety regulations.
For Dry Hire:
• Fully operational and maintained street sweeper.
• Provision of a user manual and training for Council operators (if required).
• Maintenance support during the hire period.
Exclusions:
• For Dry Hire: Fuel costs, operator provision, and any damage incurred by improper use by Council operators.
• Any fines, penalties, or liabilities arising from the use of the equipment outside the agreed terms.
Liabilities and Responsibilities:
• The supplier must ensure the street sweeper is compliant with all relevant safety and operational standards.
• For Wet Hire, the supplier is responsible for all liabilities associated with the operator and equipment during operation.
• For Dry Hire, the Council will accept liability for the equipment once it is received and during its operation by Council staff.
• Both parties must maintain appropriate public liability and equipment insurance coverage for the hire period.
Pricing:
• All quoted prices must be GST exclusive.
