Tender Description
This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The objective of this procurement is to engage a suitably qualified and experienced technology consultant to produce an architectural redesign of the data centre along with an associated Bill of Materials. This will provide direction to the ACT Government in its investments in data centres, ensuring the long-term strategic and technical requirements are met in a manner that presents value.
The objectives of this tenancy refresh are to:
a. Ensure ongoing availability and reliability of the ACT Government network;
b. Enhance the performance and security of the network infrastructure;
c. Modernise the network architecture; and
d. Future-proof the network infrastructure and align it with industry best practices.
The successful Respondent will undertake Phase 1 (Discovery and Redesign) to review DDTS’s existing data centre and prepare a new architectural design for the replacement network infrastructure.
The Discovery process will include reviewing the existing design documentation, undertaking workshops, and performing an onsite audit as required. The architectural redesign for new network infrastructure should be based on an architecture that is sufficiently flexible and scalable to meet anticipated capacity, reliability and performance requirements for the next 5 to 10 years. The new network infrastructure solution will provide highly redundant and secure connectivity between tenancies, Data Centre’s and cloud services and will integrate with existing on premise and cloud services.
Following the discovery process, the consultant will prepare a report for consideration by DDTS, recommending an architectural redesign of the network infrastructure, based on DDTS’s stated requirements and the outcomes of the discovery process.
The Report is expected to include the following (at a minimum):
a. Overview and summary of the new network redesign solution;
b. Audit summary report that captures the current state;
c. Architecture high level design; and
d. Detailed Bill of Materials (BoM).
The supplier is required to work closely with DDTS teams to design a new network solution for DDTS’s core network services.
