Tender Description

NRM South is seeking to engage a suitably experienced contractor to collect spatial data and aerial imagery for the designated project areas to support planning and establish a baseline for monitoring environmental changes over time.

NRM South is working on a riparian restoration project in and around Frogmore Creek, Orielton Rivulet, Sorell Rivulet, and Orielton Lagoon. Focusing on public and private land, the project is addressing threats such as weeds, altered sediment transport, agricultural activities, stormwater pollution, urban development and climate change, in order to enhance riparian and wetland habitats, reconnect critical habitat corridors, and reduce nutrient and sediment runoff.

We are seeking a contractor to collect spatial data and aerial imagery for the designated project areas to support project planning, site management, and establish a baseline for monitoring environmental changes over time, and to support restoration efforts.

Key actions in the project will include:

  • Data collection and field surveys
  • Data processing and analysis
  • Reporting and deliverables

Please provide a detailed proposal outlining the following:

1. Advice on the most appropriate data resolution and accuracy for the project's needs.

2. Recommendations on:

-An appropriate survey buffer around waterways to capture both natural assets and surrounding land use.

-Suggested remote sensing and survey methods best suited for the project area.

-The need for multiple surveys, outlining the potential benefits.

-How the collected data can inform restoration activities, such as revegetation, erosion control, and fencing.

3. Any required permits or approvals for data collection and provide estimated timeframes for obtaining them.

4. An itemised cost estimate, including minimum-maximum ranges if relevant.

5. An outline the knowledge and skills of your team relevant to the project.

6. Availability to undertake the work and provide proposed timelines for project completion.
