The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a O Block Redevelopment at Maryborough SHS, located at Kent Street, Maryborough QLD 4650, as part of the Repair & Replacement (R&R) program.
The works involve the relocation of Block O roof structure to the new bus shelter location for reinstatement. Demolition of the remaining Block O materials including but not limited to, internal, external and foundation materials, stairs, doors and windows. Demolition site is to be made good and turfed. New bus shelter to be constructed in new location, including but not limited to stairs, balustrade and painting. Access paths from the road to the rear of blocks R and P to be installed. The position of the works is at the front of the school with good site access and working space. All works are to be completed by July 2025.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
