Tender Description

The City of Salisbury (the Council) invites Tenders for the provision of Survey Services (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

The Contractor shall provide any or all of the following services as requested:

Property Surveys:

o Identification of boundaries

o Identification of easements

Construction Surveys:

o Setting out road works

o Setting out of structures

o Quality Assurance verification of pavement layers

o Stockpile volume calculations

o As Constructed surveys

Engineering Surveys:

o Topographical surveys for design and construction

o Vegetation/ Landscaping surveys

SPECIFICATION:

1. The Detailed Surveys shall accurately represent all features within the survey area, to the required identifiers and tolerances.

2. The horizontal datum shall be to GDA2020/MGA Zone 54 co-ordinates. If an existing PSM has not been established within the required survey area, a TBM with coordinates of 1000E, 1000N shall be adopted.

The TBM must ensure that negative values are avoided.

3. The vertical datum shall be to AHD. If an existing PSM has not been established within the required survey area.

4. The final Detailed Engineering Survey is to be supplied to CoS’s Representative in the following format:

• DRAWING FILE: AutoCAD DWG 2022 (2D and 3D Face Format)

5. All Autocad surveys supplied shall be in colour and line type by layer only (ie more than one colour or line type per layer is considered unacceptable)

6. All text to be on individual layer from the survey point or it’s feature. Eg “Sewer” text label to be different layer to sewer survey point.

7. Organise Dial Before You Dig and locate all service locations on site.

8. Features to be represented in accordance with Guidelines for Location of Points.

9. The Detailed Engineering Survey shall include the following features where available:

o Fence lines

o Footpaths

o Signs

o Pavement types and markings - Centre line, edge markings, safety bars etc

o Edge of Bitumen

o Edge of formed road - unsealed pavement

o Crown of Road

o Kerb alignment - Invert/Face of kerb, Top of kerb, Lip of kerb (edge of bitumen) - Points to be a maximum of 5m apart of where features dictate

o Points on a curve or intersection to be a maximum of 3m apart or where features dictate

o Driveway crossovers and pram ramps within the kerb

o Driveway and footpath types - from kerb to property boundary

o Trees - Trunk size and foliage extent. For single trunk provide circumference of 1m and 2m above natural ground. For multiple trunks provide total circumference of 1m and 2m above natural ground.

o Vegetation showing extent of any garden beds or landscaping.

o Underground Services where marked. If no underground services marked, provide underground service locating.

o Provide Council with a fee to undertake underground services depthing upon request.

o Service authority pits - manhole covers, valves etc. All pit covers to be surveyed to show actual size and alignment

o Storm water drainage - Junction box lids, side entry pits, headwalls, culverts and down pipe locations. All pit covers to be surveyed to show actual size and alignment. Where pits are accessible pipe invert levels are required.

o All connecting pipe size and type that connects drainage pits.

o Stobie poles - To be surveyed to show actual size and alignment and alignment of

o Contours are to be place at 200mm interval

o Spot Levels - For all features excluding trees, signs, pavement markers, underground services, and stobie poles

o Embankments and retaining wall details – Top and bottom level, type of retaining wall and etc.

o Provide DCDB overlay unless noted identification of actual boundary is required.

o Identify any existing easement.

o Medians/Protuberance - both solid and painted

o Street furniture - bus shelters, street signs, bins, seating, light poles, bollards and etc.

o Pavement bars, pavement markings and lines and messages

o Permanent survey marks
