The Shire is seeking expressions of interest for eligible applicants to be considered for an aged joint venture housing agreement.

Council has properties which have been identified as housing where preference is given to tenants who are in receipt of aged or another type of pension.

Aged Joint Venture Housing are identified as the Aged Units, 1 and 2, 15 Commercial Street Coorow.

To qualify for consideration to become a tenant of a unit at the Aged Units the applicant must be:

•55 years of age or above; or

•Retired; or

•In receipt of government assistance

This facility is a joint venture property with the Department of Communities (Housing) and you are required to register with their Geraldton office in the first instance (tel: 08 6277 5151).

You must then forward a copy of the correspondence from the Department confirming that you are registered for the Aged Units to the Shire of Coorow at admin@coorow.wa.gov.au

You will not be placed on the Shire of Coorow waitlist until this is confirmed.
