The District Council of Karoonda East Murray is seeking expressions of interest from highly qualified and experienced individuals to serve as an Independent Member on our Audit and Risk Committee.

The Audit & Risk Committee is an independent advisory committee established under section 126 of the Local Government Act 1999 and maintains the role of overseeing and monitoring the effectiveness of the Council in carrying out its responsibilities for accountable financial management, good corporate governance, maintaining an effective system of internal control and risk management, and fostering an ethical environment.

Applicants must be individuals rather than corporations, and applications are sought from persons with appropriate qualifications and expertise in relevant fields such as business finance, risk management, audit, legal or governance.
