The Shire of Northam is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from local businesses who may be interested in acquiring the parklet currently located outside 122 Fitzgerald St – formerly Lucy’s Tearooms. Subject to planning and health approval the parklet will be moved to another local business that would benefit from the parklet.

AWARD PROCESS

The Shire selection panel will assess all applicant responses to the EOI and award to the submission that:

1. Outlines planned usage of parklet and best demonstrates need.
2. Provides businesses address that has the suitable space to house the parklet -subject to site visit and approvals.
3. Agrees to the upkeep and ongoing maintenance of the parklet to ensure the longevity of the structure.

EVALUATION PROCESS

Assessment will be substantially based on information provided by the Respondents. The Shire may seek clarification from applicants on any information included or not included in their Response.

The following evaluation methodology will be used in respect of this EOI:

To enable a proper assessment to be made, it is essential that applicants submit all relevant information in an accurate and concise format. Applicants must ensure that responses are able to be assessed on a stand-alone basis and should not rely on information supplied to the Shire in previous responses.
