With the proud support of Chiesi Australia, Lung Foundation Australia’s Hope Research Fund is pleased to invite applications for a Research Fellowship in COPD valued at $140,000 +GST over 2 years.

Early mid-career researchers (≤ 10 years post PhD) with a special interest in COPD are invited to apply. Relevant domains of research inquiry include any aspect of identification, diagnosis, treatment and support of people with COPD.

Projects with a focus on one or more of the five priority areas of the COPD Blueprint report published by Lung Foundation Australia; Transforming the agenda for COPD: A path toward prevention and lifelong health are highly encouraged and will be viewed positively by the grant review committee.

Grant funding will commence from 1 July 2025. Grant funds must be used to support research fellow salary costs. Matched or greater funding by the Applicant’s university / research institution is also required to extend the value of the investment made by Chiesi Australia.
